My wife wanted more communal areas for family interactions.

A traditional escape in Kyoto
Staying at Mitsuki Kyoto Hotel was a good experience. Yoko, our host, warmly welcomed us and ensured our visit was nice. Every morning, we enjoyed beautifully presented traditional breakfasts that were different each day. Rooms are spacious and overlook a serene inner garden. The private bar was a charming spot to unwind and share stories over local sake.
While we had an overwhelmingly positive experience, it reminded me of the cozy layout resulted in less communal space for connecting with other guests. This intimate setting allowed for a personal touch from Yoko was great.

The venue was clean and the staff were very, very nice and courteous. The location was unbeatable and excellent, very close to an underground station, so it was really easy to travel around. Very close to a national park and a palace, it was a huge bonus. We had a charming bedroom. The bathroom was beautiful, that's important...
